Advent Calendar app for QVC. This ambitious project provided a month of special promotions leading up to Christmas Day.
The app acted like an Advent Calendar in that the customer would activate it daily to reveal a special deal. The design featured animations such as falling snow and lamps that would light, the doors of the houses would rotate open and the deals would slide out, parallax scrolling for depth-of-field effects, and fun and quirky copy to provide surprises throughout the month.
The design of the app coordinated with the on-air and digital platforms to provide a seamless visual experience for customers. This app was the first special promotions project that was built for all QVC digital platforms (iOS, Android, and desktop). Besides developing the concept, I also executed all the illustrations, utilizing QVC product and designs (trees, ornaments, holiday patterns) wherever possible.
