T-shirt design and packaging for AWear, Inc.
AWear was a company that I was co-owner and co-operator of, along with my old college roommate. Together, we created a small studio to produce original, limited-run, silk screen designs for t-shirts. We both handled every aspect of operations, from renting and renovating a studio space, buying equipment and supplies, making sales calls and visits, and creating all the designs and product by hand. We utilized the services of Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, set up an LLC partnership, and registered our business with OSHA.
Our studio lasted about four years and provided us with many memories and a bit of an education.
The proudest moment I had happened when I randomly spotted someone walking down a street in Philadelphia wearing one of our shirts. It doesn’t get much better than that.
